Memory Tier List

This memory tier list is the spend map for Forgotten Island on Nakali Island. Memories are the pickup the album cares about. Fragments are what you spend after a successful bank. Aswang are why you should not sprint inland with a full pocket and no exit. Ranks here are a community snapshot for September 2026, inferred from badge text and the live loop. They are not a datamined drop table. We do not list invented Fragment values or gold costs.

If you only remember one sentence: do not carry a Mythic without spare Jeepney slots. The badge “Oof that’s gotta sting” exists for a reason. Mythic is confirmed. Losing one is supposed to hurt.

What a Memory is in this loop

You spawn, you walk a zone line (beach, then treeline, then ash), and you pick up Memories before an Aswang trick wipes the run. Bank what you carry. Spend Fragments on the next upgrade. Expand storage so the following lap is worth more. The album is the long-term record; the Jeepney is the short-term backpack. How to get Memories covers the route. This page covers what is worth the risk.

Rarity in the experience runs at least from common through Mythic. We do not invent a complete public ladder with every named mid-tier. If a badge or the shop does not name it, we rank the role instead of a fake item ID.

S tier — Mythic Memories

Mythic is the only rarity we can pin to a named badge and a clear player feeling. Huge risk, huge payoff. Do not treat S as a dare. Treat it as a cargo problem.

  • Leave spare Jeepney slots before you walk past the treeline.
  • Do not “just check ash” with a Mythic already in hand.
  • Bank, then go back. A second lap with empty pockets is faster than a heroic wipe.
  • Pair Mythic hunts with how to dodge Aswang. Timber and tricks steal more Mythics than empty beaches do.

If your storage is still starter-sized, Mythic is not your assignment. It is a picture on someone else’s album.

A tier — High-yield Memories that survive the walk home

A tier is the workhorse. These are the Memories (and the Memory-side upgrades they feed) that thicken later laps without asking you to live in smoke. They matter because they arrive. Yield that never banks is B pretending to be S.

Spend Fragments on Memory yield only after storage is not the joke of the run. That is the qualitative order used across this wiki: storage first, then Memory yield, then charm luck, cosmetics last. See the parent Tier List Hub for the same rule applied to Jeepney and charms.

A-tier picks should:

  • Survive a realistic walk back to camp
  • Feed the album without requiring a perfect Aswang dodge
  • Still feel good if you only clear beach and treeline

If an upgrade only shines when you already have VIP, Charm Luck, and a full bracelet, it is not A. It is a convenience stacked on a convenience.

B tier — First Memory and beach filler

Your First Memory is B on purpose. You need it. The beach teaches the camera, the Jeepney, and the fact that Nakali is not a lobby. Filler Memories along the sand keep the album from looking empty while you save Fragments for a slot.

B is not an insult. B is the tutorial the island will not say out loud.

  • Grab the First Memory before you wander inland.
  • Fill beach slots, bank, and leave. Do not turn a filler lap into an ash suicide.
  • Use B-tier density to learn Aswang tells without risking S cargo.

When players skip B and die with nothing banked, they blame the Aswang roster. The roster is not the problem. The empty album is.

C tier — Cosmetics-adjacent Memories

C is the album wallpaper. If a Memory mostly changes how the page looks and barely changes how many Fragments you take home, it waits. Fashion is allowed. Fashion is not a storage slot.

Buy C after:

  1. Jeepney slots you actually use
  2. Memory yield that survives a trip home
  3. Charm luck if you still want a smoother roll

The charm tier list will try to sell you sparkle. Let it, after the Jeepney is grown. The Jeepney list is the real argument against C.

How to spend a session with this list

  1. One beach lap. Bank the First Memory and filler.
  2. Buy a storage slot if Fragments allow. Do not buy a hat.
  3. One treeline lap with empty Mythic ambition and full respect for Manang.
  4. Only then hunt S, and only with spare slots.
  5. Log badges on the badge list so you know whether Mythic pain already happened.

Servers hold eight players. Someone else will greed the same Mythic. Let them. Your album still fills if you bank A and B on time.

A Mythic that never reaches the album is just a long walk back to the beach, and this list will not clap for the screenshot you did not keep.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Nakali Island, Memories, and Jeepney runs.

Is Mythic really S tier in Forgotten Island?

Yes, as a payoff. The memory tier list still says do not carry Mythic without Jeepney slots. The sting badge is the hint.

Where does First Memory rank?

B. You need it to start the album, but it is beach filler, not a late-game spend. Route notes live next to these ranks on the Tier List Hub.

Do you have Fragment costs for each Memory?

No. Costs are not a public datamine on this wiki. Rank qualitatively with the Jeepney tiers instead of invented gold numbers.

Should I upgrade Memory yield or storage first?

Storage first. Yield is A only after the walk home is safe. That same order appears on the charm list for luck versus slots.

Are cosmetic Memories ever worth buying?

After slots, yield, and luck. C tier is album wallpaper. If you still want sparkle, read charms so you do not buy a look that does not bank.

How do Aswang change Memory ranks?

They do not change the letters. They change whether S cargo survives. Dodge work is on how to dodge Aswang; this page only ranks the pickup.
